Top Bridge Community Park
Road Improvements Notice

The Regional District of Nanaimo will be conducting road improvements along the gated access road to the parking lot at Top Bridge Community Park. This will include widening the road to accommodate two lanes of traffic, and improving drainage and surfacing along an approximately 300 metre stretch of road. This work is being conducted under a permit from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. This gated section of road is closed annually to public vehicle traffic from Thanksgiving to Victoria Day, and so park access will not be impacted.

Pedestrian access to the park along this road will be barred for the duration, but park access will remain open for pedestrians via the trail starting at the end of Allsbrook Road. Park access for vehicles remains open from the City of Parskville's parking lot on Chattell Road, on the east side of the Englishman River. It is expected that this work will be completed within five days of commencement. Trail users are asked to please obey all signs posted at the site, and keep clear of work crews and equipment.
