The Ravensong Aquatic Centre, located in the Qualicum Beach Community Park, opened to rave reviews in October 1995. This facility was the first major public aquatic center built in District 69 and quickly became a popular destination for community members seeking a wide range of aquatic opportunities in the District 69 area. This fully accessible facility contains a main pool with a competitive, 25-metre Olympic short course, a leisure pool with zero depth entry, a hot tub, a sauna, a Finnish steam room and five family change rooms. The pool is easily reached via the RDN Regional Transit routes. Ravensong won the 1997 Facility Excellence Award from the BC Parks and Recreation Association.

In 2010, with the assistance of federal government funding of $1 million from the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program, Ravensong was closed for six months for extensive upgrades totaling $5.2 million. The Ravensong Upgrades 2010 Project included a new skylight with solar panels over the pool, building envelope and window remediation, structural maintenance and painting, a new water treatment system (calcium hypocholorite water treatment pellet system with ultraviolet as a secondary disinfectant), new energy efficient lighting in the swimming area, a new family change room and staff room, and improvements to existing change rooms. Additional upgrades include: a new infra red sauna, new heat pumps, new filters, new tiles and fixtures in all the change rooms, upgrades to lighting, new sound baffling, new exterior painting and signage. These renovations will help ensure the facility can continue to serve local communities for many years to come.

Programs provided at the centre are designed for all ages and abilities ranging from Parent and Tot, Super Tots, Preschool, and the Red Cross Swim Kids Programs, to Leadership (Lifesaving Society and Red Cross Society) and first aid/CPR courses , Teen Swims, Aquafit classes, to Everyone Welcome, Adult Only Swims, Birthday Parties and many special events are regularly planned. Many user groups frequent the pool, including Ravensong Breakers Aquatic Club, Ravensong Water Dancers Synchro Swim Club, Master Swim Club, plus private rentals to Physiotherapy, MS Society, Arthritis Society and more.

Program participants and taxpayers from the Electoral Areas F, G, and H, and the municipalities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach, all financially support the Ravensong Aquatic Centre.
