The Regional District of Nanaimo is also currently in the process of developing an Active Transportation Plan for Electoral Area 'A'. For the purpose of this project, Active Transportation includes human-powered forms of commuter and recreational travel such as walking, cycling, jogging/running, rollerblading, inline and, where possible, ice skating, cross-country skiing, as well as a number of other activities that promote active, healthy living within the community.
You are invited to participate in an Active Transportation Mapping Workshop scheduled as follows:
|Electoral Area 'A' OCP Review Open House and Presentation Schedule|
|October 25, 2008||10:00 am - 2:00 pm||Cranberry Community Hall||1555 Morden Road|
The workshop will allow both residents and non-residents an opportunity to illustrate key transportation linkages, routes and facilities, as well as brainstorm future opportunities for active transportation in the community. In addition, the public is invited to complete an online survey which is available by Clicking Here
If you have any further questions or comments on any of the above-listed events, please contact Greg Keller, Senior Planner RDN at (250) 390 - 6510.
