A Shared Community Vision
Electoral Area 'A' Official Community Plan Review

Are you interested in learning about future developments and on-going projects in Electoral Area 'A'? Do you have a development idea, proposal, or project in Electoral Area 'A' that you would like to present, share with the community, and obtain feedback on?

If so, you are encouraged to participate in the Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area 'A' Community Development Forum. The Community Development Forum is being held as part of the Electoral Area 'A' Official Community Plan review and is in response to a general desire for more information on a range of development ideas, proposals, and projects in Electoral Area 'A'.

Electoral Area 'A' includes the neighbourhoods of Cedar, Cassidy, South Wellington, Yellow Point, and adjacent unincorporated rural areas within the Regional District of Nanaimo.

Developers will be presenting and discussing their ideas, proposals, and projects within Electoral Area 'A'. The focus and intent of the presentations and discussions is on how the projects help Electoral Area 'A' work towards achieving 'A Shared Community Vision' and how the projects are consistent with the Sustainability Principles developed earlier in the Official Community Plan review process.

All Electoral Area 'A' residents and those with an interest in Electoral Area 'A' are invited to attend the Forum.

Date Location Address Time

The Community Development Forum is an opportunity for developers, Electoral Area 'A' residents, and those with an interest in the area to get together to share information and discuss some of the upcoming and on-going development projects in Electoral Area 'A'. In addition, this is an opportunity for developers to obtain valuable community input on their projects.

If you have an idea, proposal, or project, that you believe is consistent with the Sustainability Principles and will help the community achieve 'A Shared Community Vision', and wish to participate in the Community Development Forum, please contact the Regional District of Nanaimo Planning Department to discuss your proposal, reserve your table, and to obtain a copy of the Community Development Forum Guidelines.

For other participants, there is no need to reserve a table ahead of time.
