Toilet Replacement Rebate Program
PLEASE NOTE: 2013 will be the last year for the RDN Toilet Replacement Rebate program. Once the program funds are exhausted, the program will be complete. Please submit your application promptly to avoid disappointment.Many households in the RDN are equipped with older toilets that require 13 litres of water or more per flush. New high-efficiency toilets require only 4.8 litres or less per flush, and dual flush toilets use either 3 or 6 litres. By taking advantage of the toilet replacement rebate program, you could save more than 200 litres per day or 80,000 litres per year.
This program offers a maximum of two (2) rebates per property. If you replace a toilet that uses 13 litres or more per flush or if you replace a low flow (6L) model with a CSA approved dual flush or high efficiency toilet, you may be eligible for a rebate of $50.
Six litre (6L) low flow toilets are no longer rebated under this program, to reflect the update to the BC Building Code in 2011.
To apply for the rebate, you must submit your purchase receipt(s) as well as a receipt indicating the disposal of your old toilet(s), along with the application form.
