Mount Arrowsmith Management Plan

Planning is Underway

The RDN, in partnership with Hupacasath First Nation, the Alpine Club of Canada and the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC, is preparing a First Management Plan for Mount Arrowsmith Massif Regional Park.

The Plan will guide operations, development and stewardship of the park based on analysis of values and consultations with the public and stakeholders.

We have completed the first round of public consultations:

  • Public sessions were held in Parksville/Qualicum Beach on June 22nd and Port Alberni on June24th.
  • A public survey was open between June 4th and July 2nd to collect ideas and input. Over 120 responses were received.
  • Stakeholder consultations are currently underway.
