RDN Request For Quotation

Gypsum Hauling
Church Road Transfer Station

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is seeking quotations from qualified Proponents to provide lidded bins for gypsum recycling at the Church Road Transfer Station at 860 Church Road in Parksville; and to haul the gypsum to a licensed recycling facility within the RDN for a twenty-four (24) month period starting no later than March 1, 2017.

The Church Road Transfer Station (CRTS) produced 272 tonnes (1 tonne - 1000 kilograms) of recyclable gypsum in 2016.

For the purposes of this quotation, gypsum is defined as recyclable waste from homes and businesses including, but not limited to, new construction off-cuts or scraps and old gypsum that has been removed during renovation and demolition with markings or date stamps indicating manufacture in 1991 or newer.

The successful Proponent will be entirely responsible to carry out all work to haul and return bins for gypsum for the CRTS including supply of all equipment, materials, supplies, labour and supervision necessary to complete the work, including but not limited to transportation of material from the sites, sufficient Workers Compensation coverage for non-Regional District staff etc.

The successful Proponent must remove the gypsum bin from the CRTS as required by the RDN.

The successful Proponent must provide two (2) lidded 40 cubic yard bins for CRTS customers to recycle gypsum. Loads leaving the CRTS site will be weighed on the CRTS scales.

Quotations will be entered into the space provided herein under the heading "Quotation Schedule/Form", attached as Appendix "A". Proponents shall issue one Quotation Schedule/Form for each year (see below).
