RDN Curbside Collection Service Suspended for Thursday, February 9, 2017

Road conditions are preventing the safe collection of material from curbside routes in the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN). As a result, curbside collection has been suspended for the day. Affected areas are: Nanoose Bay, Lantzville, parts of Jingle Pot and Extension (RA1-4).

We recognize the inconvenience this causes RDN residents, and we will collect double the amount of material on the next appropriate collection day without the need for extra tags. If residents require more yellow recycling bags to account for the extra material, they may be picked up from the District of Lantzville, City of Parksville, the Regional Landfill, Church Road Transfer Station or RDN Administration Building.

For other areas affected by collection interruptions over the last two weeks, those residents will also be permitted extra material on the next scheduled collection day. Please visit www.rdn.bc.ca or download the RDN Curbside Collection App for up-to-date information on collection interruptions, and to confirm upcoming collection dates in your area.
