Work to remove trees that have fallen across French Creek will take place on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018. The work will be completed in the effort of reducing flood risk to homes on the northwest side of the channel. The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development has been contacted in order to gain permission to complete the work required. A fisheries resource consultant has been consulted in order to develop the best plan to follow to safely remove the woody debris from the channel.
Expect temporary restricted access for the day to some portions of Lee Road Community Park and to French Creek as works are completed. Please obey all posted signs. Safety is job number one.
