A Public Information Meeting will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Cedar Memorial Gardens located at 2349 Cedar Road concerning the Zoning Amendment application affecting the property located at 2419 Cedar Road in Electoral Area 'A', legally described as Lot A, Sections 8, 9 and 10, Range 1, Cedar District, Plan VIP76153 (see location map below)

The applicant proposes to rezone a portion of the subject property zoned Agricultural 1 (AG1) to allow the conversion of an existing dwelling unit to an office, staff lunchroom and urn storage building as an accessory use to the cemetery and funeral home use permitted in the portion of the land directly north and zoned Public 1 (PU1) under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987".

The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to introduce the proposed change in land use and to invite comments from the public regarding this application. Please note this is not a Public Hearing. A summary of the comments received at this meeting will be provided to the Electoral Area Services Committee and Regional Board as part of the application review process.
