Come Out and Have Your Say! Help Us Make Zero Waste Happen

Our Solid Waste Management Plan is a plan to support sustainable solid waste management in the RDN. It addresses both waste diversion and residual waste management and will serve to guide solid waste management related activities and policy development in the RDN over the coming years.

Residents are invited to participate in a series of special public meetings scheduled in each RDN municipality and Electoral Area. These meetings will provide you the opportunity to review, ask questions about, and provide feedback on the supporting information and the proposed update. Public meeting dates are as follows:

The Solid Waste Management Plan Draft Update will soon be available for review on the Project website at getinvolved.rdn.ca and at your local Vancouver Island Regional Library branch. Copies may also be requested for pickup at the RDN Administrative office at 6300 Hammond Bay Road in Nanaimo.
