News Release - September 9, 2016

Regional District of Nanaimo Seeks Applicants for Northern Community Economic Development Funding

The Regional District of Nanaimo invites business and community groups in District 69 to submit proposals for funding under the Northern Community Economic Development (NCED) Program.

RDN Director Bob Rogers, Chair of the Northern Community Economic Development Select Committee explains that "to date, the NCED Program has contributed over $200,000 toward projects in District 69 that support emerging entrepreneurs, connecting small business owners, creating new employment opportunities, and providing other measurable economic benefits in our communities."

The NCED Program supports initiatives in the City of Parksville, the Town of Qualicum Beach and Electoral Areas 'E', 'F', 'G', and 'H'. To be considered in the next round, submissions must be received by 4.30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016.

Interested applicants are required to complete and submit an application form included in the Guide, along with supporting materials to:
