Purpose of Proposed Permit
The applicant proposes to temporarily allow a use not permitted under the current industrial 1 (IN1) Zone of "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987". The proposed temporary use is to operate a pharmaceutical-grade cannabis recycling, extraction and testing facility within an existing building located at 1451 Island Highway East in Nanoose Bay for a period of three (3) years (see proposed Site Plan attached).
