The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is relaxing the Englishman River Community Water Service Area (River’s Edge subdivision) to Stage 3 Watering Restrictions effective today, August 6, 2021. Residents have been very supportive of the need for Stage 4 restrictions and the water levels in the groundwater supply wells have returned to seasonal norms. Large water leaks on several private properties have been identified and isolated over the past few weeks and water demand has been significantly reduced.
