Joint News Release - RDN and Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools Renew Cedar Skate Park Agreement

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) and Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools (NLPS) have renewed the Cedar Skate Park Community Park agreement for a ten-year period from 2023 to 2033. The agreement gives the RDN permission to continue operating and maintaining the skate park located on NLPS-owned land for a fee of $1 for the duration of the agreement period. Under the agreement, the RDN will also maintain existing park amenities including the gravel parking area, benches, signage and landscaping.
