Purpose Of Proposed Bylaw

The applicant proposes to rezone the subject property from Agriculture 1 to a new land use zone, under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987", to allow seven dwelling units and the protection of the balance of the subject property in perpetuity for agriculture.

The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to introduce the proposed change in land use and to invite comments from the public regarding this application. Please note this is not a Public Hearing. A summary of the comments received at this meeting will be provided to the Electoral Area Services Committee and Regional Board as part of the application review process.
