Financial Services

The Finance department coordinates the preparation of the Regional District of Nanaimo's annual financial audit, five year financial plans as well as carrying out the day to day business of the Regional District including supplier payments, customer billings and employee payroll processing.

The department oversees service contracts with six volunteer fire departments across the region and assists those departments in preparing budgets and undertaking major capital purchases.

Utility services customers can view their account transactions through the Web Customer Service Access Point. A PIN number (printed on your utility invoice) is required - click here to see where to find your PIN.

Utility customers are encouraged to enroll in our Preauthorized Payment and Ebilling programs. You can join one or both at your option. Forms are available by selecting "Forms and Financial Documents" in the sidebar on this page.

Utility Charges Certificates are available for lawyers and notaries involved in property sales or transfers. This is a fee based service (currently $12.00) requiring an account registration and a PIN number. A Web Customer Agreement and Application Form can be found through the sidebar link to "Forms and Financial Documents".
