Energy & Sustainability

The Energy and Sustainability Department manages a variety of programs for residents such as Green Building Incentives, implementation of the Corporate Carbon Neutral 2032 Plan, and implementation of the Climate Action Technical Advisory Committee's Board-approved recommendations. As the RDN works toward carbon neutral operations this department is also developing solutions to help the organization meet CO2 reductions targets and track progress. Energy and Sustainability has completed a variety of RDN policies with direction from the Regional Board, including a Green Building Policy for facilities, and a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Policy.
