Home Energy Assessment

Home Energy Assessment Rebate

< Return to Rebates

A rebate is available to RDN Electoral Area residents that complete an initial and/or follow-up EnerGuide home evaluation. An EnerGuide Home Energy Assessment helps you identify where energy is used in your home and what energy efficiency upgrades make the most sense for you and your home. They are completed by registered Energy Advisors.

Residents of Nanaimo should apply directly to the city’s Home Energy Assessment Rebate. The municipalities of Lantzville, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach do not offer rebates for Home Energy Assessments at this time.

All residents can check out funding through the Federal Canada Greener Homes Grant or the Provincial CleanBC Better Homes Program. The same energy assessment is required for the Federal Canada Greener Homes Grant. However, you will need to register separately with the Government of Canada. See the resources section below for more information.
