The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) Advises of a public hearing regarding a Zoning Amendment for the property located at 5600 Island Highway West in Electoral Area H. "Regional District of Nanaimo Amendment Bylaw No. 2500.06, 2025" proposes to amend "Regional District of Nanaimo Zoning Bylaw No. 2500, 2024" by rezoning the subject property from Residential 2 (RS2) Zone, Subdivision District 'M', to the proposed Mixed Use Comprehensive Development Zone 22 (CD22), Subdivision District 'M', to permit a mix of commercial and residential development, as supported within the Dunsmuir Village Land Use Designation within the Electoral Area 'H' Official Community Plan.
