The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking one technical expert for its Climate Action Technical Advisory Committee. We are seeking one early career appointee with at least two years but not more than five years of professional practice. We are seeking an appointee from the following areas of expertise:

  • Agriculture
  • Asset management
  • Climate/meteorological science
  • Coastal/geomorphological process
  • Construction or urban development
  • Environmental education/outreach
  • Environmental justice
  • Floodplain mitigation
  • Forestry or forest management
  • Sustainable/renewable utilities, including energy
  • Transportation planning, including vehicle fleet management
  • Waste management
  • Watershed management

Those interested in being appointed to the Climate Action Technical Advisory Committee are asked to submit a resume and cover letter that lists all professional experience, professional designation(s), and specific experience related to climate change action or planning. Availability to attend meetings during business hours and evenings must also be specified.
