Detour Alert (June 15, 2022 - October 2022) - Due to Utility upgrades on Park Ave between Seventh St. and Fifth St., all buses will be routing along Fifth St. to Bruce Ave to Seventh St. As this detour does affect four stops along Park Ave, drivers will be utilizing all pre-existing stops along Bruce Ave. Route Mapping

Detour Alert (September 30, 2022 8:30AM - 12:30PM)

Due to Every Child Matters 2022 Walk occurring within the City of Duncan, Route 70 NCX will not be providing service along Canada Way, and Beverly Street between 8:30 - 12:30. Detouring Routing can be found here. Route Mapping

Special Notice

Truth & Reconciliation Day Shuttles

RDN Transit will be providing shuttle service to the City of Nanaimo for (2) two shuttles buses to assist those wanting to attend the events taking place within Stadium District. Shuttles will run from Snuneymuxw Gas Bar to Nanaimo Aquatic Center, and from Woodgrove Shopping Center to Nanaimo Aquatic Center. Service Alert (September 30, 2022)

On September 30, the RDN will be recognizing Truth and Reconciliation. RDN Transit will be providing full Friday level service, with the exception of our administration offices being closed.


Public Notice:

The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) received notice from a resident who was called by an individual posing as an RDN handyDART representative. They proceeded to ask the client for money related to handyDART services. The RDN does not contact clients for payment. The client followed the RDN’s recommended course of action which is to hang up and call the RDN directly. Do not provide credit card or other personal information unless you have initiated a call to the RDN.

Residents may also report suspicious calls to the RCMP or the Anti-fraud line at 1-888-495-8501.
