A Public Information Meeting will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Lighthouse Community Hall, 240 Lions Way, Qualicum Beach, BC concerning the Zoning Amendment application affecting the properties located at Pitt Road and Shaughnessy Drive in Electoral Area 'H', legally described as Lots 1 and 2, District Lot 36, Newcastle District, Plan 2076, Except That Part Shown Outlined in Red on Plan 1104-R and Except That Part Lying North of the Island Highway as Said Highway is Shown on Said Plan (see location map below).

The applicant proposes to rezone the southern portion of the subject properties from Residential 2 (RS2) Zone, Subdivision District 'M' to Public 4 (PU4) Zone, Subdivision District 'D' under the "Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987", to allow a wastewater treatment plant (see Proposed Site Plan attached).

The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to introduce the proposed change in land use and to invite comments from the public regarding this application. Please note this is not a Public Hearing. A summary of the comments received at this meeting will be provided to the Electoral Area Services Committee and Regional Board as part of the application review process.
