Alternative Approval Process – Bylaw 1632 & 1633

Notice is hereby given to eligible electors in the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) that the Board intends to adopt "Regional District of Nanaimo Regional Library Capital Financing Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1632, 2011" and "Regional District of Nanaimo Regional Library Capital Financing Service Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 1633, 2011" and enter into an indebtedness Agreement with the Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL). Bylaws No. 1632 and 1633 will establish a service and authorize borrowing up to $8 million to construct/renovate a library building located at 6250 Hammond Bay Road in Nanaimo, BC on behalf of the Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL). The cost to property owners within the service area with a residential property assessed at $100,000 would be $0.0 per annum.
