No.19-065 Invitation to Tender - Qualified Well Drilling Services

Closing Time

The RDN took ownership of the Whiskey Creek Water Service Area (WCWSA) in 2011 at the request of the service area residents. The source water for the service area is collected via an intake gallery off Crocker Creek. This surface water supply has proved to be a challenge for the RDN, and during times of high turbidity and colour in the creek, the source cannot currently be filtered to drinking water standards. Instead, water is trucked into the reservoir to maintain supply for the service area.

After significant effort over two years to find a suitable groundwater source, the RDN has now gained an SRW over a portion of private property and is ready to investigate the site for a groundwater source. The RDN will start by drilling one well (Proposed Well #1) and only proceed with drilling a second well (Proposed Well #2) if it is required to do so.

As such, the RDN is now inviting Tenders for the drilling and pump testing of the well(s).
