The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is pleased to announce that the 16.2-hectare (40-acre) Cox Community Park addition is now open to the public to enjoy. By way of the Islands Trust’s land use planning process, the land addition was received through a park dedication as part of the Mallet Creek subdivision development in October 2021. It includes new trail signage, trail mapping and approximately 1.5 km of trails connecting to Lockinvar Lane and the Gabriola Medical Clinic.
