Two New Options For Our Customers

The Regional District of Nanaimo is pleased to be able to offer our utility services customers two new options for receiving and paying their bills.

E-Mail Billing Notification

Instead of receiving a paper copy of your invoice you can now view your invoice online. Customers who complete the e-mail billing notification application will receive an email notice telling them their invoice is ready to be viewed online. You will be able to view your invoice, as well as most of your customer account information online through our secure website. The on line invoice will look just like the paper version. You can print it or simply save it as a computer file.

All customers are invoiced in May/June for garbage collection (Jan - Dec), sewer (Jan - Dec) and winter water consumption (Sept to May). Water customers receive a second invoice in October for their summer water consumption (May to Sept) - so depending on when you sign up and what services you receive, your first e-mail notification will appear either in the fall or late spring.

Once your e-mail billing notification application has been activated you will no longer receive a paper invoice.

You can change your mind at any time, just by calling or writing to let us know. It's a simple and effective way to receive your invoice.

Pre-Authorized Payment Option
Customers who complete the Application for Pre-Authorized Account Payment form authorize the Regional District to automatically withdraw the billed amount owing from your account on the discount due date. You no longer need to issue a cheque or make a PC or telephone banking transaction to ensure your bill is paid within the discount period. Using a pre-authorized debit allows you to take advantage of the payment discount even if you are away from home at the time the bill is sent. The pre-authorized debit agreement is confidential information and will not be released to any person or organization other than the necessary staff at the Regional District.

Your application will be effective for the next billing cycle which applies to you - all customers are billed once in June and water customers only, are billed a second time in October, so depending on when you apply your first pre-authorized payment will be either in July or November (about 30 days after the invoice date).

Choose E-Mail Billing Notification Or Pre-Authorized Payment Separately Or Together.
The Choice Is Yours.
